First publication on the underlying data for a multi-organization data valuation

The ADAPT Centre, an association of researchers from Ireland’s leading universities, has published a study of the underlying data for a multi-organization data value assessment for the first time. In the study, 20 companies, from finance to aviation, had the opportunity to valuate 34 of their own data sets. The results are interesting:

It is interesting to note that 45% of the companies stated that the data value for the valuated data won’t ever decrease. Nevertheless, 85% of the enterprises had not carried out any data valuation before. However, 82% of the data sets were considered valuable within the valuation.

This shows that, despite its relevance, this topic has not yet reached the companies.
